Contractions in English furnish almost identically to full two-word phrases but are only appropriate in some places in a sentence. It's one of the weird quirks of language that we've.
'I never said she stole my money.'
This sentence has shown different meanings depending on the stressed words.
English has got words like
Defenestration: the act of throwing someone out of the window.
Some words you might have to though didn't exist. 
  1. The gender-neutral term for niece and nephew is niblings
  2. The day after tomorrow is overmorrow.
  3. The day before yesterday is ereyesterday.
  4. Platonic crushes are known as squishes.

The phrase, 'Curiosity killed the cat,' is not the actual phrase. It is actually, 'Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back,' so don't let anyone tell you not to be curious.

'Blood is thicker than water,' is really,'The Blood of the covenant than the water of the Rome,' meaning relationship formed by choice are stronger than those formed by birth.

Some guy in the 16th century wroteGod B W Ye' in the letter as an abbreviation for God be with ye' and it appeared as 'GodBWYE,' which was read as 'goodbye' and that's why we say 'good-bye'.
